An Update on the English service: Christ Community Fellowship

The Lord is doing a wonderful work here. Eight have accepted the Lord as Savior and one has recommitted his life to Christ. Please pray for them to grow spiritually. Some have faced challenges at home because of their new commitment to Christ. One young guy, Mandie's family is Catholic. After his mother learned of His new faith in Jesus she kicked him out of the house. He left his home and slept in a bus stop by the road. He was so distraught about this that he wanted to kill himself. George who is a new believer, has been bringing his daughter and Mandie to attend the service, encouraged Mandie. He reminded him to read his Bible and pray. George also is having a very hard time with his wife. She is also Catholic and does not want him bringing their 3 daughters to the English service. We thank God for these people who are standing firm in their faith and being a witness in their homes for Christ sake. May God bless them and also bless you for praying for them. Thank you so much for being part of our ministry. We are planning to hold a Baptism Service on Good Friday, right before Easter. This will be our first Baptism for the English Service. On the following Sunday morning, Easter day, we will have a Baptism service for the Palauan church service as we usually do each year. We generally have several baptisms per year for that service. Thanks again for your prayers and support for these two service and other ministries we are involved in here at Palauan Evangelical Church of Guam.

Friday night English Fellowship and Bible study has finally began....an 11 year dream come true

Just 1 week ago we started a new ministry. For over 11 years we have hoped and prayed for an English ministry for the young people here, family and friends of people who have been attending our church. Many people who attend have relatives and friends who come to visit with them but can not really understand because the services are in Palauan. So after much prayer we decided in September to start meeting with a few willing people who were interested in starting this ministry with us. About 10 of us meet faithfully every Friday night from October until January. We made invitation notes to pass out to nearly 150 people and announced this through out the Christmas and New Year services. Last Friday we began Christ Community Fellowship at 730pm. As we had prayed that the Holy Spirit would speak to the hearts of people and bring them to this service we saw about 49 people show up for the first service. this week we had about 52 people. Several of them had not attended the first weeks service. Last night as Andy preached through Romans 1:1-7 and explaining the Gospel message and our need for the Savior Jesus Christ, 2 ladies accepted the Lord and 1 man rededicated his life. We are so excited about the great mix of people groups that attended. There were 6 different cultures in attendance. Some of these people had not heard a message preached like this. One lady told me (Julie) that she had never read the Bible before. She is Catholic and very interested in know God better. Pray for this young lady and the many others who have not yet received Christ or have not been discipled. May God bless you in your relationship with Him! Thank you for your prayers for this and other ministries we are involved in.
