An Update on the English service: Christ Community Fellowship
The Lord is doing a wonderful work here. Eight have accepted the Lord as Savior and one has recommitted his life to Christ. Please pray for them to grow spiritually. Some have faced challenges at home because of their new commitment to Christ. One young guy, Mandie's family is Catholic. After his mother learned of His new faith in Jesus she kicked him out of the house. He left his home and slept in a bus stop by the road. He was so distraught about this that he wanted to kill himself. George who is a new believer, has been bringing his daughter and Mandie to attend the service, encouraged Mandie. He reminded him to read his Bible and pray. George also is having a very hard time with his wife. She is also Catholic and does not want him bringing their 3 daughters to the English service. We thank God for these people who are standing firm in their faith and being a witness in their homes for Christ sake. May God bless them and also bless you for praying for them. Thank you so much for being part of our ministry. We are planning to hold a Baptism Service on Good Friday, right before Easter. This will be our first Baptism for the English Service. On the following Sunday morning, Easter day, we will have a Baptism service for the Palauan church service as we usually do each year. We generally have several baptisms per year for that service. Thanks again for your prayers and support for these two service and other ministries we are involved in here at Palauan Evangelical Church of Guam.

Friday night English Fellowship and Bible study has finally began....an 11 year dream come true
Just 1 week ago we started a new ministry. For over 11 years we have hoped and prayed for an English ministry for the young people here, family and friends of people who have been attending our church. Many people who attend have relatives and friends who come to visit with them but can not really understand because the services are in Palauan. So after much prayer we decided in September to start meeting with a few willing people who were interested in starting this ministry with us. About 10 of us meet faithfully every Friday night from October until January. We made invitation notes to pass out to nearly 150 people and announced this through out the Christmas and New Year services. Last Friday we began Christ Community Fellowship at 730pm. As we had prayed that the Holy Spirit would speak to the hearts of people and bring them to this service we saw about 49 people show up for the first service. this week we had about 52 people. Several of them had not attended the first weeks service. Last night as Andy preached through Romans 1:1-7 and explaining the Gospel message and our need for the Savior Jesus Christ, 2 ladies accepted the Lord and 1 man rededicated his life. We are so excited about the great mix of people groups that attended. There were 6 different cultures in attendance. Some of these people had not heard a message preached like this. One lady told me (Julie) that she had never read the Bible before. She is Catholic and very interested in know God better. Pray for this young lady and the many others who have not yet received Christ or have not been discipled. May God bless you in your relationship with Him! Thank you for your prayers for this and other ministries we are involved in.

Exciting News!
Hafa Adai and Alii (Hello in Chammorro and then in Palauan). We are excited to be part of new things that are happening here at church among the Palauans. Andy and I have wanted to have a English service to minister to many people who are attending the church and trying to understand the Palauan service. Our church consist of Palauan natives who have moved to Guam in search of better jobs or to be with the family members who are living here. Many of these people have raised children on this Island who may understand some Palauan from it being spoken at home. However many of the younger generation can not completely understand Palauan and many of them are married to non-Palauan people. Several of our youth and young adults do not understand Palauan well enough to comprehend all of what is being said in the Palauan service.
We have been ministering here for over 11 years now. God may do things a lot slower then we think we had hoped for it all to come about but HE is NEVER late. Sometime Mid-October we will start having an English Fellowship. We are not starting an English service yet. We are going to start meeting to pray as to how and who God wants to use to serve/minister to those He will send to help with this new service. This time of prayer will also be a time of Praise. We need a committed group of believers who want to be involved in serving through leading worship, discipleship, helping in nursery, visitation, being ushers and greeters. It takes a lot of committed hearts to began something like this. In order for us to focus on what God wants this to become we must spend time in prayer on this. We are excited to see how God will use His people to bring others to Christ through this. So please pray for us as we begin to venture out into this new ministry. Thank you!

What God is doing in our hearts and in our church
WOW! Is the word I will choose to describe how God is working in our lives here on Guam. The summer got kicked off to a early start with our BIG APPLE VBS the first week of June. Teachers and volunteers from young to old helped out each day. It always amazes me the effort everyone puts into our vbs. The children sang songs each day filled with God's message to them. This year at snack (lunch time) the small group bible study from different villages each brought food for the kids. What a blessing! Our youth and junior high group all assisted the teachers and the snack team with getting everything set up and making sure the kids were safe. Worship time seems to always be a huge favorite of the kids attending vbs each year. All in all the children were feed spiritually and had a great time together.
Our church is about to celebrate our 50th anniversary on July 15-17th. There is much work going into preparing for this event. Videos are being made of several pastors who were the pastor here over the years and many other laymen who ministered to the hearts of the Palauan people who have attended through out the years. People from all over the many different Island countries of Micronesia have been ask to come and celebrate with us, God's faithfulness over the years here. Many of us are praying for revival in this place of worship. The first night we will showing video messages that have been prerecorded for this event and have lots of pictures of many memories through out the years. On the second and third day there will be three message preached. We are praying for God to challenge us in our relationship with Him and revive all of our hearts. Please pray for Andy as he is working with the men from church that are doing the yard work, preparations, and lining up people to speak.
We are excited about how God has been challenging the hearts of several young women in our church. Back in February Julie started leading a small group bible study. The book she used was "Lies Women Believe" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. This book helped us to exam our relationship with the Lord. It also taught us how Satan attacks our families through lies we believe about ourselves and our families. After we finished this bible study the same three ladies and a few more women joined me for a study of our spiritual gifts that God has given to each of us. We have one more week of this study. In Late July we will began "Victory Over the Darkness" Seminar. Julie has prayed that God would bring forth the ladies who need to know their identity in Christ. This will be our first time to hold this class at our church. We will follow the DVD with a workbook and discussion questions. Pray that these 11 women will allow the Lord to work in their heart taking control of the areas in which Satan is trying to deceive them. This bible study will last 8 weeks and then we will continue with Part 2 "The Bondage Breaker". Thank you for partnering with us n prayer and for your support. We so much appreciate you. May God bless you and the ministries He has you involved in as a channel of His love and service to others around you. God bless you all!
