Hafa Adai and Alii (Hello in Chammorro and then in Palauan). We are excited to be part of new things that are happening here at church among the Palauans. Andy and I have wanted to have a English service to minister to many people who are attending the church and trying to understand the Palauan service. Our church consist of Palauan natives who have moved to Guam in search of better jobs or to be with the family members who are living here. Many of these people have raised children on this Island who may understand some Palauan from it being spoken at home. However many of the younger generation can not completely understand Palauan and many of them are married to non-Palauan people. Several of our youth and young adults do not understand Palauan well enough to comprehend all of what is being said in the Palauan service.
We have been ministering here for over 11 years now. God may do things a lot slower then we think we had hoped for it all to come about but HE is NEVER late. Sometime Mid-October we will start having an English Fellowship. We are not starting an English service yet. We are going to start meeting to pray as to how and who God wants to use to serve/minister to those He will send to help with this new service. This time of prayer will also be a time of Praise. We need a committed group of believers who want to be involved in serving through leading worship, discipleship, helping in nursery, visitation, being ushers and greeters. It takes a lot of committed hearts to began something like this. In order for us to focus on what God wants this to become we must spend time in prayer on this. We are excited to see how God will use His people to bring others to Christ through this. So please pray for us as we begin to venture out into this new ministry. Thank you!
